What it is and why it matters
Dependability means showing up, meeting deadlines, and following through without reminders. It's the base that trust is built on: a manager can't hand important work to someone they can't count on.
Real-world example
A nonprofit trusts me with its public voice on Instagram and Facebook. If the posts stop, people notice. Keeping a steady schedule, and telling the team early when something will slip, is what dependability looks like in that role.
With repair customers, it means giving an honest pickup time and meeting it.
My personal goals
- Confirm deadlines in writing so nothing gets forgotten
- Tell people early when a date will slip, not on the day
- Under-promise and over-deliver on repair turnaround
